In our publicly funded school system-not the case i promote "charter schools" give me your voucher and we will educate your children. give me your voucher and another $1000 and we will educate your children. give me your voucher and i will rebate $1000 for clothes and pens and books. a market system under the auspices of the government. The teachers union doth protest? i am a member of a labor union. i hold a degree in secondary education from a prodigious university. This idea does not threaten you i think educators are well intentioned and good hearted... it's about our children. (a progressive libertarian)

today. a young mother asked us all to pray for her young daughter about to under-go heart surgery. Pray to whom? i am a graduate of a christian -faith based education, yet medical advancements and good doctors and nurses and other health care providers will make your daughter well (or not) do not ask me to pray for a diety to intercede it just adds to the problems in this world whose god is better? i wish well for your child and if she succeeds-lives and thrives thank the men and women whom made that possible (my secular rant) :)
