the critic has to educate the public; the artist has to educate
the critic.
the true critic addresses not the artist ever but the public only
the primary aim of the critic is to see the object as it really
is not.
cynicism is merely the art of seeing things as they are instead of as they ought to be.
what is a cynic? a man who knows the price of everything but the value of nothing...
