CONUNDRUM

we have a 1 man seafood department.

he recently transfered in.

2 weeks ago the store manager discovers a couple of hundred $'s of expired product on his shelf.


suspended - go home.

next day

i pull the expireds-the case is now relatively-empty

to dept head union brother:

"we can't let sales disappear because 1 of us fucked up"
where would be our integrity?
"we got to do something, anything" (todd rundgren)

"you got an hour?"

yeah.

he gets reinstated 4 days later. yo, bro

"i covered your case in the meantime, you got outdated crap in your frig too"

"scan it off-and pitch it-comprende, amigo"

he did.

4th day back after suspension

he is pulling the case of out-dates

manager checks

"why are you pulling these, they still have 24 hours"

"i am going to bump them another day"

go home.

now he has been demoted to the deli in a nearby store

and the schedule gets posted (no conversation)

and i am doing seafood & meat until?

PS: no one seems to know...
