PS: today-aug 28 2010-there are more members of the federal employees union than work in the private sector unions

and we the taxpayers are responsible for their unfunded pensions

in the private sector-contracts are negotiated every 3-5 years (depending)
it is a give and take based on real conditions on the ground
(of course "self-preservation" rules-did you watch the brain series post?)

pattison in new york tried to exec. order the pay raises to state union members
and got sued-and lost!

the white house said long ago they wanted pattison to not seek re-election

so don't expect the obama admin. to take this on....
