i am all for increasing taxes on the wealthiest
with caveats.
(ge got a tax refund and paid no tax)
we cannot stop corporations from tax shelters
we can intercede on taxpayers.
a corporation can take it's headquarters off shore
a rich person-not so much
(where are they going to move to?)
however...
impose a minimum flat tax on all
(no one gets a free-ride edgar winter)
too tough on the poor?
okay.
impose a 1% national sales tax on non-essentials
all revenues go to paying down the debt.
