Its a sad commentary on our times that the word "academia" has come to be interpreted detrimentally...would a high school drop out placate the great unwashed? I would rather have a plumber fix my plumbing, a mechanic fix my car, a doctor tend my health, and have Elizabeth Warren head the Bureau of Consumer Financial Protection. Check her resume...and add to it: Twice listed on Times Magazines 100 Most Influential people in the World, 2009 and 2010. I think we want her in our corner.
