TALKING HEADS

On my T.V. set

(or)

A open letter to "the greatest generation"

(sez brokaw)

i am a product of the" silent generation"

mostly

for from there is where

my values were formed.

(claims psychology)

On my T.V set...

"Failure to raise the debt limit is financial armageddon!"

"If we fail to reach agreement by aug. 2 it will trigger a collapse of the financial system worse than lehman brothers"

IF we do not?

we can pay the bond-holders,interest on the debt &
we can pay medicare, medicaid, and social security
military pay is also covered.
(under this scenario)
the federal government will be forced to cut 44% of what remains.
(this is according to the budget office)

"The president has offered $3 in spending cuts for $1 in revenue(tax)increases"
(chris wallace)

Tea-Party representatives will not raise taxes. That's how they got elected.
(they signed a pledge with grover norquist)

((and they promised their constituents.))

so where do we the people go from here?

much more learned people than i seem not to know either...

let me offer this:

the "estados unidos" population rate is nearing 0%
(it will take a decade)

russian, japanese, and germanic populations have been declining for years...

what's exploding in this great country is the # of older people.

young, educated people have awokin'. they are not having children.

they know that their parents may become their children (financially speaking)

who else is going to pay for these entitlements?

as a member of the end of the "baby boomers"

i plead: hey "greatest generation"- i am willing to change the rules.
i am willing to push retirement age and reduce benefits for people my age moving forward...

shared sacrifice.

Tell me now. (we have reached a pivotal point in history to not just kick the can...)

i need to plan.

as to you who have outlived your benefit ((do the frigging math)) and do not need it anyway...
renounce any more gov't checks...

{if f.d.r knew you was gonna live this long

he wouldn't have taken such good care of you.}

PS: rip up your aarp cards

(someone must speak-mr. linkletter is gone)

do not become your children and their childrens

beneficiaries

they are your legacy...

PSS: some peoples kids say the darndest things ...
