The other day, in Tampa Bay
a young girl was asked to throw out the ceremonial 1st pitch.
she took her place short of the mound(she couldn't reach from 60 feet six) and
was introduced as the rays catcher took his place behind the plate.
she threw a strike and the crowd cheered.
Then, the catcher removed his mask and smiled proudly.
He was her father-home on surprise from afghanistan.
Beautiful.
